For part of our Inquiry of Alberta, we are looking at climate vs weather and what Alberta's climate areas are.  First we had to sort out the difference between the two.






While learning about "matter", students had to find a sorting rule for these objects.  Lots of great ideas such as big vs small, inside vs outside, but natural vs manufactured won in the end!



We found a perfect graph to connect our math with big numbers and Alberta's population.
Ask what your learner noticed and can predict from this graph.  Also, what is the standard form of 4.8M?

Day 1 of Coulee School (June 3)

Today's journey to the coulee was my favourite because I felt so much more calm and relaxed because you all were so calm and relaxed.  I loved sitting silently eating, asking questions, sketching, and I wondered, where are all of the nests?
