Way to go with swimming all week, students!  We also want to say a huge thank you to all of the parents who were able to volunteer!

Our Week:

Swimming!!




After returning from swimming each day the students were quite tired so our inquiry work with wheels and axles and levers was a good way to keep students engaged!  Students have been designing, building and testing their devices.  




Math:
While we continue to develop our multiplication and division skills, we took some time to create analog clocks and discuss time as well.



Social Studies:
We are continuing to read, "Ticket To Curlew" which is a novel about a family who moved to Alberta and settled the land over 100 years ago.  We are learning about the land, tools, housing and life on the prairies long ago.

June 27 - Final Week of School

Day 1 of Coulee School (June 3)

Today's journey to the coulee was my favourite because I felt so much more calm and relaxed because you all were so calm and relaxed.  I loved sitting silently eating, asking questions, sketching, and I wondered, where are all of the nests?
