Inquiry:
Our gardeners and botanists were busy planting tomato seeds from space and from Earth. Our big question: How does outer space affect seeds?
Miss McClernon has been teaching the students about fossils, including as types of fossils, how they can be formed and where they can be found in Alberta. We have also been discussing why Alberta has so many dinosaur fossils and the history of the Tyrell Museum. Today the students began to research various dinosaurs and they will then choose one to study further.
Upcycling our T-shirts to make bags for our Coulee walks.
Wellness: What is a role model? What qualities do role models have?
Math
This week we wrapped up our work with Area/Perimeter with a fun activity where students sketched the furniture in their bedrooms, measured the dimensions of the furniture and then found the perimeter and area. We will be moving toward fractions next week.
